Bobcat MTRT HydroPower
The technology brought forward by this team of engineers is a new type of pico hydropower plant that utilizes a magnetic transmission to reduce the failure modes and maintenance requirements of traditional small hydropower plants. It does this by eliminating the mechanical seal in the system which is subject to wear-based failure. The development of this technology would introduce a more reliable pico hydropower system to the market which would allow for lower-cost energy production.

Health Tech
Tuberculosis (TB), a highly infectious disease, is most prevalent in low-middle income countries. TB can be treated more efficiently if detected in a timely manner. However, the delay caused in timely detection results in the majority of the population not being treated and cured efficiently. The Health Tech team explores possible technology options that can assist in timely detection and effective patient care for susceptible populations.

Intelligent Comfort System (ICS)
The objective of this product is the development of a building controlling framework in a user-centered and integrated approach to provide occupants with the best indoor environmental condition. The system will learn human behavior and adapt itself to the environment over time to request the least interaction from the occupant in the future. The product will deal with controlling a personal thermal zone that is under the influence of a personal diffuser and modules of dynamic shading, in addition to controlling small shared spaces to provide the best possible comfort for everyone.

There are limited resources available to pulmonary patients who either have been hospitalized or who finished pulmonary rehabilitation to continue to be advised on appropriate exercises to maintain their health and avoid readmission. Our product will leverage an existing patented method to determine respiratory compensation from indirect calorimetry data. We will use regression analysis to create predictive models to generate appropriate exercise guidance which will be integrated into a smartphone application to track exercise and provide data to medical records systems.

Water Kit
Hydrogen peroxide is used in water and wastewater treatment and is becoming more common in treatment processes with increasing water quality challenges. There is no commercially available kit to quickly measure hydrogen peroxide at water treatment concentrations. In this project, we design a kit that will provide an easy and safe method to measure the hydrogen peroxide accurately.
