Ventureprise Welcomes Carrie Bovill as Entrepreneurship Programs Specialist

Charlotte, NC – September 15th, 2022 – Ventureprise, UNC Charlotte’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, has hired Carrie Bovill as Entrepreneurship Program Specialist to manage innovation and entrepreneurship programs.

Carrie joins Ventureprise from Coastal Carolina University, in the Myrtle Beach metropolitan area, where she served as community coordinator and was responsible for community engagement and chaired the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee. Prior to joining Coastal Carolina University, Carrie served as a Site Coordinator for the Duke Innovation and Entrepreneurship Initiative’s DukeEngageDetroit programs collaborating with students, community leaders, local business owners, and social entrepreneurs.

Carrie has a depth of experience in working with students that will surely benefit the entire UNC Charlotte community as we work to spread entrepreneurship across campus. Plus, Carrie is an entrepreneur in her own right which creates tremendous value in supporting our student, faculty and community entrepreneurs,” said Devin Collins, Director of Ventureprise.

Carrie is a published author and holds a Master’s of Public Administration from Clark Atlanta University and a Bachelor’s of Art from Morris College.

“I am excited and honored to join the Venturprise team and begin the process of connecting with students and sharing the idea that they are all innovative and can be entrepreneurial in any endeavor they choose to pursue” Carrie stated.
