All UNC Charlotte students – any college, any major – all are welcome!

I have a partner and/or I’m part of an organization. How many people are able to enter and pitch?

Teams will consist of at least two, but no more than three, students. Two colleges/majors must be represented.

I’m not an ‘hacker’ or I don’t have technical experience. Will I be competitive?

Absolutely! This is a chance to learn something new and be challenged. All levels of experience will be needed – you will have something to add to the team.

What types of categories will we have to work with during the weekend?

We will announce the categories – and some industry problems – on October 3. There is a wide range of topics and we will provide some great information to help you prepare for the Golden Hack: Impact Weekend.

Can I sign up as an individual?

Absolutely! We have some great activities planned for Friday to meet the other participants and will be able to match you with someone. And if you sign up early enough, we may be able to team you up prior to the event. We expect to have as many individuals sign up as teams, so be prepared to meet some great people!
